The
busy season of activities is upon us and I urge you to
become involved. We always need the help and I think you
will find that you will get more out of the experience
than the effort you put in.
I
want to commend the Brothers who have taken the time to
submit information to our Webmaster about their events.
It is your input which keeps the Brothers informed. I
also want to commend our Webmaster, Bro. Bob Boyce, for
his dedication and plain old fashioned hard work to prepare
the webpages and keep everything so organized.
I
have been thinking about how the website has evolved to
become a very useful instrument of communication. In one
easy-to-navigate website, there exists for Council 7432
a repository of information most critical to the current
year's activities.
For
example, there is a contact list of Officers, an up-to-the-minute
Activity Calendar, an Events page presenting descriptions
of upcoming activities and reporting on completed activities,
recruitment information and finally links to our resource
partners. It is so wonderful that I daresay Father McGivney
would be astonished that so much relevant information
could be made accessible so easily.
However,
although it is obvious, you do have to take the trouble
to use the site to stay informed. On that note, I would
dearly love to hear your thoughts about 1) the website;
2) the "sign-me-up button" on the upcoming events'
webpages; and 3) the biweekly email communication system.
What
can we improve to make them even more useful? Do we need
to add anything or take away anything? Please feel free
to contact me, in confidence, with any ideas or suggestions
you may have.
As
always, Brothers, I pray for you and the Council's success
in achieving its objectives.
Vivat
Jesu,
Bro. Ray
